Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/13/2007

Number: 1

I finally saw our first male Ruby Throated Hummer by our back yard feeder. This is a couple weeks later than other years perhaps because of the midwest state storms. I usually put the hummer and oriole feeders out the first part of April and this year we have lots of orioles feeding on the syrup, oranges, and grape jelly. We also have lots of Robins and Redwings this year. However, we have not seen any wrens yet or Monarchs. I really enjoy your website as we are bird and butterfly watchers. Thank you for the annual contact with us. Gerry and Judy Pieper
