Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/15/2007

Number: 1

Around 7:00 this morning is when the male Ruby-throat Hummer appeared. He sipped from the nectar feeder hanging above my azalea bush. He flew off for a few seconds, only to reappear for another drink. Around 10:00am, my son was sitting on the couch and I told him to slowly turn around. He got to see his first Hummer right at the feeder! He's only four years old but already knows so much about the outdoors! The Hummer flew away and came back for another drink. This time he sat for a few seconds.
