I saw a lone common loon on the Saddle River in Glen Rock, NJ during my late afternoon walk 2 days ago and then today, 5/17/07, during my 6am walk. What a beautiful sight and his sound was unmistakable. Is the common loon an unusual sighting for northeastern new jersey???
