Today, May 22, 2007 at 6:30 pm we saw a beautiful bald eagle on Belleville Lake. It flew around the bay at the condos-North Bayshore Drive and swooped down to catch a fish. It then flew with its catch near the condos. We circled around to see it better and the motor of the boat caused it to take its prey into the trees.
My husband had seen one here on Labor Day weekend last year. We tried snapping a few pictures with a small digital camera, but I don't know yet how well they came out. This is great! I love it. This is the first bald eagle that I was ever really able to see.
