Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/01/2007

Number: 1

This bird turned up at our country place before we arrived up there, and splattered the front and back railings, and several window ledges with his "excrement". For several days we chased him from the railings at 6 in the morning. Finally, after two weeks of tying surveyor tape to the railings and spreading cayenne pepper along them, we seem to have discouraged him a bit. He still leaves a gift or two during the day, but nothing like the original paint jobs he did when we were not in residence.

Never had a robin behave in that way before. It's a little alarming! Is this "normal" behaviour, or have we got a mad robin?
