At last we have seen a couple monarchs in our area. I saw a very dull coloured one race through the yard this afternoon. It must have been on a mission looking for nectar plants and my lilacs (only thing blooming right
now) were not to its liking. Brenda saw one in Barrie after school today.
We have a fair bit of our milkweed up in the garden, the best are the swamp milkweeds over 12 inches high. The nearby wild common milkweed is only up from 1 to 10 inches, with a few exceptions up more. We will now be on the lookout for eggs.
