I saw my first adult Monarch this afternoon here at my home in Oshawa, (43° 53' 14.76" N
78° 48' 43.55" W), a female nectaring on lilacs in our back yard.
This is our retirement home and we are creating a Monarch friendly environment, including milkweed of course. We have just transplanted several plants and we have a number of nectaring flowers planted as well.
Our neighbors include two young children and they are enthusiastically looking forward to being part of the monarch story with us.
