My husband and I have observed a red-winged blackbird nest in a tall shrub in our front yard (it contained 4 light blue eggs with dark markings). Today I found 4 hatchlings in the clutch. Here are a few straight from the nest yesterday. I assume they are 1-2 days old, but am not certain. I last checked the nest a week ago and still saw 4 light blue eggs w/dark markings.
