I saw a moderately faded Monarch while biking at a local park this morning just after 9am. I observed a fresh Monarch nectaring in the commom milkweed patch earlier in the week. Last weekend there was a bright Monarch with fresh wings in the milkweed patch as well as a faded Monarch. We finally received some much need rain today. I am glad the well established common milkweed has deep tap roots.
