Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/03/2007

Number: 1

Dr. Nick Escott is the Chairman of the Thunder Cape Bird Observatory near Thunder Bay, Ontario:

Monarchs continue to be abundant everywhere I've been, as far east as Marathon (48° 43' 02" N - 86° 22' 50"
W)and north to Lake Nipigon (coordinates for Lake Nipigon Provincial Park on the south-east shore of Lake Nipigon - home to towering cliffs, green-black sand beachs and carpets of wildflowers: 49° 28' 55" N
- 88° 07' 39" W).

Also good numbers of Red Admiral
and American Painted Lady showed up around the same time, and, for the first time I can remember, the Coral-winged Grasshopper, which are everywhere!
