Late this afternoon I was inspecting my home Monarch Way Station, and saw to my delight the first visiting Monarch. It was not brightly colored indicating that it must have some age one it, and I think it was a female. It visited some of the milkweed that had just bloomed today, and then fluttered off to a field across the road. A short time later it returned to the yard. I inspected my milkweed and could not find any eggs laid.
