We appreciate your accuracy with monarch reporting - I've tried to emphasize to students that we don't make reports unless we know they are accurate!
This monarch report was based on observations by twin boys in grade 2 who have a milkweed patch in their back yard. They saw a monarch flying in the area, and have also spotted eggs on milkweed leaves ( so I think we'll report that next, although it wasn't even on our list of things to look for this year!) They report that it was a warm, sunny day.
This report is especially exciting for us because this is the first year that monarchs have been spotted while school is still in session.
