Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/02/2007

Number: 1

Just around this time last year our son, Michael called to report he had seen Monarch adults on the shore of Lake Huron while at their nearby summer home. Their property is just 12 miles from Cheboygan. Back in the Lourdes College Life Lab we have Monarch caterpillars that hatched from eggs found in and around Sylvania, Ohio. Most of the caterpillars are in the 4th instar and should be pupa in another week to ten days. Looks like another good year!
