Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/29/2007

Number: 1

I didn't note the exact date, but there were
Monarchs in the Pinawa area ( 50° 10' 30" N - 95°
58' 00" W) in the last few days of May, and I also saw several well into the boreal forest
along the Bird River in Nopiming Provincial Park after running a
Breeding Bird Survey on June 10
(around 50.46 deg N 95.42 deg W, given as 50° 38'
02" N - 95° 19' 38" W Natural Resources Canada site)).

Plus scattered sightings while driving between Pinawa and Winnipeg
over the last couple of weeks.
I hope to get up to the Grand Rapids area in the last
third of June & will look out for them at that time.
