We have seen several monarchs around our place--far enough apart that it is at least as likely to be several butterflies as the same one several times--in the last week: June 1 to June 7. We are 5 miles west of Balmoral and 5 miles north or Argle, northwest of Winnipeg. The butterflies have been seen near the barn, in the pasture, and in the surrounding pine woods.
