A lone monarch was spotted cruising around the Washington School butterfly garden for several hours yesterday, 6/18, the first sighting this year. It never paused to nectar despite abundant blooming swamp & common milkweed. I'm assuming it was a male on the lookout for a female. I'll be watching for more!
