I should like to report seeing a male Monarch Butterfly on Monday
,June 18th at approximately 5:00+ p.m. Central Time on our acreage at
rural Saskatoon, Sask.20 miles southwest of the city. We are 5 miles
east of the small hamlet of Vanscoy ( 52° 00' 00" N - 106°
59' 00" W). I took pictures of this
Butterfly also,
and if you care to see a couple of them I can send them to you. This
is the first year we have seen a Monarch in our area that I am aware
of. A number where released in 2005 from the Saskatoon Zoo and raised
by them in a greenhouse.
