Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/22/2007

Number: 1

Monarchs are being reported from a number of places in the south of the province. I think I saw one at Candle Lake on June 22. The latitude of Candle Lake is
53 degrees 45
minutes- about 2 hours north of Saskatoon. These butterflies tend to be moving fast and it is hard to be sure of the identification. Let's put it this way, however, people are reporting large orange butterflies moving fast.
