Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/23/2007

Number: 1

First monarch sighting: very tattered, relatively small female seen on 6/23 in our Monarch Waystation garden. Didn't stay long. But today, 6/27, a large, also tattered female (wing edges frayed and almost transparent from wear) has been in the garden all morning, feeding and she looked as if she was laying eggs underneath the milkweed leaves. Feeding on the milkweed flowers and many others, including clover blooming in the meadow near the garden.
