I drove out to Chebucto Head early this evening with two visitors from Montreal - a refreshing change from the city. While there I was struck by the abundance of butterflies. I had barely turned off the engine when the first Monarch came sailing up from below the cliff - it looked as though it had flown in across the water. I saw several more in the short space of our visit before we returned to town for dinner.
