Their was a pair of loons on Jordan Pond calling a mournful cry. One loon stayed at the shores edge while we walked the length of the pond calling and looking everywhere. when we got to the north end of the pond the other loon was there and I took some pictures of it. it appears that he has two bands on each leg, one of them on his or hers left leg is red. The pair has been there everyday,On upper Hadlock their is a pair and they have 2 babies. First spotted 06/26/07 on their backs. 07/17/07 both chicks are diving.Wondered who would be interested in the pictures of the banded loon? Thank-you. Enjoy watching them everyday. Cheryl DuLong.
