I've been keeping track of monarchs in my milkweed
patch here in Port Williams, Nova Scotia. I have a small patch of milkweed in my garden,
located in a rural village near Wolfville. Monarchs
were later this year than last...in 2006 the first
eggs were spotted on July 2, but this year's first
were July 26. There have been one or two monarchs seen
in the past week, but this time last year there were
butterflies everywhere!
