Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/03/2007

Number: 1

I am thrilled to see Monarchs in my backyard. I had visited a butterfly farm last summer and was very interested in planting my own butterfly garden. I purchased milkweed plants and butterfly bushes this spring. Everything now is in full bloom. I have seen Monarchs mating, I've seen the female lay eggs on the milkweek plants, I've seen catapillers and now the monarchs come back to eat the nectar on the butterfly bushes. I find the whole process very facinating.
