Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/19/2007

Number: 1

Just would like to report a large cluster sighting that I observed in Enosburgh, VT. Have never seen this before and have a wonderful digital video of this sighting. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced.

We were on the crest (very top) of our land, with a 360 degree view and sooooo quiet. You could even hear the butterflies landing and fluttering.

I don't know how to put a number on them. They were all over and it appeared they were eating (something) on the maple leaves, and roosting on the pine trees. They were roosting on the south side of the trees.

We went up to the site 1 week later and they were no longer there. Not one!
