Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/23/2007

Number: 1

Temperature is about 25 Celsius. Cloudy. Rain and lightning last night. 50 metres east of Lake Huron shoreline. Local Ash trees and white cedar trees are filled with Monarchs. They have been arriving over the last 3 days. The number is very high this year compared to other years. 2-3 years ago it was also heavy. Monarchs are not moving far today. Just fluttering around the trees. Beautiful to see.
