We went to our place in the country for the afternoon, and were almost to our driveway, when a huge bird, who apparently had been sitting in the marsh, flew up and away. We knew they were around, we've heard and seen them all summer, but this was the first time we saw one that close. Huge bird, huge wingspan, a big thrill and treat for us to see!
