Observed hundreds of monarchs flitting around a cedar and poplar ( and oak) clearing after a rainfall, 08/24 and 08/25. They began leaving the site in the am 08/26/07, and the very last ones were seen heading south around noon. Occasionally a few stragglers were ween during the afternoon. A fascinating display, which I and a few relatives had never witnessed before in this area !
