Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/24/2007

Number: 1

On Friday of this week, I encountered hundreds of butterflies along the lakeshore specifically in the Tuck Creek creek bed located between Walkers Line and Guelph Line north of Spruce in Burlington. It wasn't a huge roost but there were branches with more that a dozen sometimes two dozen Monarchs hanging off of them.

Today, the migration has been steady as well with many butterflies migrating along the lakeshore.
