Was looking for blackberries to pick from our patch at 10 am.
Spotted a newly emerged Monarch butterfly standing unsteadily on a leaf of a blackberry plant. One wing was slightly wrinkled.
I pulled a small weed nearby, which made the leaf shake a bit.
The Monarch fell off, then climbed carefully back on leaf. Did not spot it again.
