Signs of Fall

Date: 09/02/2007

Number: 1

Today has been much cooler with a breeze blowing. There are early leaves already starting to fall with the breeze. The 3 doz or so hummingbirds at the feeders are almost all female, most of the males apparently have left already. The Muscadines are ripe and ready for picking. As are the spaghetti squash and butternut squash, making bright yellow and orange patches peeking out from between the fading green foliage. We still see the bright flash of the prothonotary warblers.
