Sept 2, 6-7 pm, Muskegon State Park (43.232 N, 86.336 W) where we have checked on roosting monarchs in years past. Light wind from southwest, temp 82, surveyed the dune area of mostly evergreens and counted 96 monarchs roosting or moving about the trees. They were concentrated in the southwest corner of this wooded area. Walked .65 miles. Area of concentration maybe 5 acres.
