We watched a monarch emerge from its chyrsalis today at school. It waited until 9:05 just in time for all of us to see. It was in Mrs. Thomson's backyard this Aug.
We are setting it free this afternoon. We know it is a female because it doesn't have any scent glands and the lines are thicker.
