On Friday, August 31, 2007 three bilingual classes of Gary Elementary School in West Chicago, IL released five beautiful, pristine Monarchs from our playground. The eggs were laid on a swamp milkweek that I bought from a nursery. I cared for them in a container throughout their caterpillar stage and chrysallis stages until they emerged as gorgeous butterflies.
It was an emotional and exciting experience. Thank you for your attention to details in this journey.
