I went to care for the butterfly garden that I worked on for so many hours in the spring. It is located at the Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City, Kansas. Most of the flowers have bloomed and faded. Weeds have found their way through the mulch, and the dill has gone to seed (GOOD). After about 3 hours in my Garden of Weedin' (haha), I'm satisfied that the fall butterflies will find nectar in the fall flowers. The Maximillian Sunflowers have not bloomed yet, but, oh, my! they have grown to amazing height and have many buds. Mums and sage are the prevailing flowers now. Still a few Evening Primrose.
