I see the monarchs headed off in a southernly direction after they are done eating. I tag them for Monarch WAtch. After tagging I release them , of course, they head south. I often throwthem in the air the opposite direction but them correct themselves immediately. THere is no random flying in Conncticut unless they are being chased by big bumblebees. I expect to see many more in the next couple of weeks as according to MONARCHWATCH we are entering the PEak season.
