Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/12/2007

Number: 1

Our students have reported monarch sightings for the past two weeks. Over Labor Day weekend, one student saw four in the field near her home. The weather was hot and clear. From September 8 - 11, we saw 36 butterflies in our neighborhoods. The weather has been extremely wet and humid.

This afternoon, on our playground, we saw a monarch flying. The weather is clear (in the high 70s) and sunny. We watched as it flew off in a southwest direction.
