Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/16/2007

Number: 1

Large numbers flew into town yesterday and today (in the thousands). Many that graced my gardens appeared very tired; spent much of the day resting /basking in my rear garden.
At one point I saw a cloud of monarchs with birds flying in circles around and through them. It must have been about 6 stories high (not good with number estimates... I also noted ALOT of dragonflies with the butterflies (not sure if I reported that last year but I recall seeing it then too). Looks like a great migration is underway here on the east coast.
