Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/18/2007

Number: 1

My gardens are still in full bloom, particularly, the butterly bush gardens. On September 18, I spotted several monarchs frolicking and feasting on purple cone flowers, mexican sunflowers, and of course butterfly bush. I was in complete bliss. I often wonder if my plentiful gardens delay the march South? Might my late blooming gardens be perilous to the monarchs as they tarry and the winter chill advances?
