While most of you are saying goodbye to the monarchs, we in California are saying hello! I live near San Jose and found my first caterpillars yesterday. I am a newly retired teacher, but will take these caterpillars to my old school so they can continue learning about them. They will then take a field trip to see the butterflies overwintering at Ardenwood Farm in Fremont. I'll miss seeing the children's reactions as the caterpillars grow and change!
