A week ago (approx. 9/11)I saw the arrival of about 50 monarch to our yard. They seem to like the hard maple, sweet gum and bushes in the shade. Today early in the a.m., I spotted about 100 roosting and
circling in my yard. After notifying the local school, students who came earlier in the day were encircled with the monarchs. As I walk through the yard, I feel like it is a fairyland and I am blessed to be able to share this wonder of nature with the children and adults in the community.
