Saw one magnificent large monarch on our zinnias in our garden this afternoon. We planted a butterfly garden as well as all the MonarchWatch.org seeds last spring, including these zinnias (now 3' tall), they're working!! The monarch was in our backyard for at least 10 minutes drawing nectar from the many zinnias. Magnificent!! We are avid butterfly watchers, but this is the first Monarch we've ever seen at our home!
