Every night last week at sunset there were hundreds (thousands?) of barn swallows in downtown Los Angeles, seemingly confused, chaotically flying in circles, and crashing into the windows of our tall office building. It was scary. Does anyone know what's happening? Radio/cellphone waves? Yesterday morning I saw about a hundred of them in Culver City (10 miles from downtown toward the ocean).
