In the Riverdale section of the Bronx, on the east side of the Hudson River, monarchs were flying along the river's edge in a SSW direction in high numbers for several hours this morning before it began raining... some of the time we counted 2-3 per minute, but frequently as many as 8 per minute between the hours of 9:30 - 11 a.m.
