Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/24/2007

Number: 1

In two hours, from 1:30 to 3:30pm, I observed 44 Monarchs. They had to fly against a strong, intermitant south wind, but made it to my flowers anyway. All of the butterflies I observed nectared for some time at the flowers. A front is coming in late tonight, with temperatures to fall to the 60's tomorrow and possible rain.
