We spent a nice day around Mount Pisgah hoping to see the broad-winged hawk migration. Instead we had a great view of the monarch migration! At early-to-mid afternoon a few would move through a minute at the Glassy Rock Overlook, with very few lighting on the wildflowers. But during the 4:00 hour we estimated about 10 were moving through a minute, with a good deal of those landing. We managed to tag seven. It was beautiful to see them floating in the sky above the valley!
