Changes in Leaves: A few trees are beginning to change to yellow. Examples are Cottonwood (Populus deltoides), Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum), and Mexican Redbud (Cercis canadensis var. mexicana).

Natural Discoveries: Acorns falling from Live Oak (Quercus fusiformis). Frostweed (Verbesina virginica) is blooming.

Animal Behaviors: First Monarchs of fall nectaring in Frostweed. A pair of Inca Dove observed copulating.
