We are studying the Monarch's in Spanish class. We have hatched 3 monarch butterflies and released them September 26th. so they could begin their journey south. We also have a symbolic Pine tree, with our paper butterflies covering the branches. This tree stands in the hallway ouside our classroom for all to see, along with information about their winter homes in mexico. Our butterflies remain on the tree until Spring, when the monarchs return home from Mexico.
