Went out in an attempt to tag more monarchs, and walked a trail in to a sunflower field. We did not see any monarchs, until walking out on the same trail. At ~7PM, we started seeing monarchs flying in to a large grove of trees. We counted over 30, and it appeared they were heading in to roost. Amazing sight!! We could only imagine what this same phenomena would look like at the over-wintering sights, but were thrilled to see this in our own neck of the woods...
