I spent an afternoon searching for Monarch Butterflies at the Raven Run Nature Sanctuary outside of Lexington, Kentucky. I found the insects to be plentiful especially around the Goldenrod plants. Next time, I will take some sort of numerical clicking device so that I can accurately give an actual count observed. In addition, I continuously observe Monarchs heading South throughout the month of September.
