Fall has begun to "Fall" a little earlier this year, because of the lack of rain the last few weeks, some trees are turning color rapidly and leaves are falling. The drought may affect the ripenening of some of the berries and seeds the birds rely on for their journey south. Have not seen many warblers yet, last year it was around the middle of October that a whole bunch came through. A variety have been seen at our local nature centers, but not yet in large numbers. They are such interesting and pretty birds! Someone in our area reported seeing a junco, a sure sign that fall has arrived.
